Thanks for your patience on this. I’m going to bring it up in our meeting today and see if Dave has any suggestions.
Ok – it’s my favorite thing. You know – that thing where you try to recreate the issue and cannot?
Let’s try a start from scratch. Remove the plugins on both target and source. Then, go into phpMyAdmin and be sure that all tables containing the word “Spectrom” are gone. Also, do a search in the wp_options table for “Spectrom”. There may be an entry for both “spectrom_sync_settings” and “spctrom_sync_activated.” Remove those.
Then, start from scratch and see if it works. I’ve created a subdomain as you have and had no issues. I’ve even tried it with WP Migrate Pro installed. No issues.
Let me know what you find out.
Thanks,
-marc
It’s ok – I’ve had my first cup and my brain is still only running on half of its cylinders (considering I may only have two, that could be problematic). No worries there.
I’m going to run a couple of tests. Stay tuned. Will get back to you shortly.
Sorry – missed that (jetlag. Ya – that’s it).
Which version of WordPress are you running?
Neither of those should affect the ability to work. Question: Did you set your permalinks to anything other than default and save them? This is a required step in order for SiteSync to work properly.

In reply to: Serverpress reliable?Hi There,
Were you able to resolve this? I am a member of the ServerPress team and I apologize for just now seeing this. It looks as though you happened to try to access our site a ta time when we had a server issue.
If you have not been able to resolve this, let us know. You can email us from the support tab on our website and we’ll take it from there. If you like, we can also give you a phone call to work through it.
It appears that the issue, though, is that your A/V locked down your hosts file which is necessary in order to the name resolution to work when building local sites.

In reply to: hide a post until I link to himHi Itzik,
I am not sure that I understand the question completely. If you want to create a post and save it, you can set it to “Draft” and that will save it until you are ready to post it for the public. Is that what you are wanting to do?

In reply to: PermalinksWould you happen to be willing to let us know the link to your site? Also, are you using any caching plugins? if so, you might want to either disable them or clear out their caching. Sometimes this can cause problems as well.

In reply to: " Error establishing a database connection "Hi,
I just looked at your site and it does come up for me. While it seems to be a little slow (maybe optimize your images?), it does come up.
This indicates that the entries in your wp-config.php file are correct and the issue is likely with the MySQL server timing out and returning this error which means that chances are, it’s a hosting issue. Does your host run a lot of WordPress sites?
Hope that helps!

In reply to: Can't login to admin when using MembermouseI know nothing about Membermouse so this is a long-shot guess here, but how does their licensing work? Is it possible that it’s an annual license and the license has expired and it’s their way to drive you to re-up your subscription?
Just a thought.
Good luck!

In reply to: WordPress plugin changes install directory when deleted and reinstalledHi There,
Not sure this is the absolute right answer, but this is a function of the file system. It sounds as though your programming must have a command in it to actually create the my-plugin directory. If the my-plugin directory already exists or if the file system thinks it exists and automatically adds the 1 or 2 (or 3 or 4). It should not be a function of the database or WordPress.
Be sure to actually delete the my-plugin directory when you remove the plugin.
Good Luck!

In reply to: PermalinksHi Bart,
If you are able to, you might want to delete the .htaccess file on your host in the root of the file directory. Then go back into your dashboard and re-save your permalinks. This may resolve your issue.
Good luck!
