I just wanted to report that after hours of extensive search I found an amazing plugin called Universal Post Manager which does everything I wished it would do… I haven’t been able to get it to work yet, but I am sure I must be doing something wrong. UPM is impressive in its sets of features, so much that I wish it was made a part of the official WP 3, so that admins have more control over what users can and cannot post…
Anyway, check out UPM, GREAT PLUGIN… I just need to make it work now!

How does WP assign the value of comment_post_ID? I used to think it was the ID of the post but it isn’t, or else every comment to one post would have that number

it seems that somehow my htaccess file was not in the home directory anymore (although it was in the wordpress installation directory), so when I moved it outside of the instal dir to the parent home dir it worked

I do have Exec-PHP installed and activated but this code you offered doesn’t seem to show anything. Is this supposed to work for “pages” and not just “posts”?

I really wish that the developer added the module in the plugin distribution because those of us who use Contact Form 7 have to manually re-upload the module every time he makes a new version
