Hi there, I just updated woocommerce to the new version and the problem was resolved. Conflict with some old plugin I guess, but thanks a lot guys, I’m gonna mark this as resolved.

Hello there! This problem is still happening when I disable Checkout Experience.

By the way, Checkout Experience is causing another problems but I will create a new thread for this one.

Let me elaborate more the context of my website:

Some months ago all the subscriptions were created using the Stripe subscriptions feature. When we started with woocommerce in December/23 I migrated all of the subscriptions from Stripe to Woocommerce subscriptions. So this users don’t have any credit card saved in woocommerce but they do in Stripe. I also imported their respective customer_id and stripe_source_id in order to charge all of them in the same card they used in Stripe.

You can easily reproduce this by doing these steps (STRIPE TEST MODE):
1 – Create a new user in STRIPE that is not in Stripe but already existis in wordpress
2 – Add a new payment method for this user in STRIPE (use some of their testing cards)
3 – Now with the same user created in STRIPE go to Woocommerce myaccount page and try to add a new credit card
4 – Woocommerce will save the card for this user in wordpress but STRIPE will create another account for this same email
5 – Now you have 2 accounts with same email but different payment methods as you can see in my screenshot (https://snipboard.io/UiEXkw.jpg).

I think this is a Stripe expected behavior but I would like to know if there is any way to prevent Stripe to create new accounts and just keep one.

Since I starded the woo + Stripe in our website (12/23). But I just noticed today because one client was charged in their old card instead of the new one. When I searched for their email in Stripe they have 2 accounts now, one with the old card and another with the new card. So I guess Stripe is creating new accounts when a user adds a new credit card in Woocommerce. Here are the system status:

Hello guys, thanks for your assistance. With the Checkout Experience it works great. I didn’t enable this because it says ‘…the functionality is currently limited’, so I rather not to enable it in production to prevent any issues with Woo checkout.

Hello there, I am facing this issue in any wordpress website I create. This is from a newer wordpress I just installed only to debug this issue:

On checkout page it works fine, the problem is on /my-account/add-payment-method/ page, where users can add a new card.

The message appears on the browser console so I think the problem can be in the JS code that renders this component on the screen. It happens with any declined card.

Maybe it’s a conflict between versions? See what I’m using:
Woocommerce -> 8.5.2
WooCommerce Stripe Gateway -> 7.9.1
WordPress -> 6.4.3
Twenty Twenty-Three -> 1.3

Thanks for your reply man. Here is the thing:
The groups have 6 columns in database, right? (id, parent_id, creator_id, datetime, name and description). What I need is to create a new one called “creative_calls”.

Because in my website we have this “creative director call” service and we have some clients that need to create additional users for the same company. So the “Call” service will be applied to the company group and not to the users, got it? Instead of create this custom field for each user, we want to create this field to the group because it’s easier to manage.

I already created this new column in database but don’t know how to update this data in the group edit screen without change the plugin’s core files.

Unfortunetly I can’t give admin access because the website is from the company I work for. But the problem happened when I updated my WordPress to the new version.

I was able to temporarily solve the problem by just commenting the lines where the “ifso-standalone-conditions-gutenberg-block” where required in the “class-if-so.php” file (if-so/includes folder).

I don’t know why that happened but I guess WordPress might have changed some dependecies that could break the lodash instance in your plugin.

Thank you for your reply. I cleared all the cache but the problem was the plugin ‘WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency with WPML’. I don’t know why but when I disable it everything got back to normal.
