Hey @galapogos01,
So sorry about that. Though the feature requested has not been implemented, the question posed here has been addressed. I’m sorry that we don’t have better news here at this time, but our engineers are aware of the request we’ll look to add some additional protection in upcoming releases.
Although the thread itself has been marked as resolved, you are still welcome to post further questions here. Additionally, you can create a new thread anytime, as newer threads tend to be more visible anyway, both for us and for the general community to jump in and help with as well.
Cheers,

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Pixel not tracking on pixel helperHi @camaleaocong,
Thank you for your reply. I understand that switching the theme may not be ideal. It’s just one of the steps we can take to try to rule out other conflicts or issues.
Since the pixel code seems to be added to the page as expected, are there any other plugins that may be conflicting here? Do you have any other Facebook or social tracking plugins active? Is the pixel code still added in the theme functions.php?
Thanks,
MarcusHey @voxoff,
Marcus here, stepping in from the support engineering team to take a look at this with you.
It sounds like you want to have the full label value for the custom attribute data. The reason we use the slug is that the plugin builds an array first before it reformats it into what you see in the logs. During this time, there is a “custom data” array with these values and they are paired up with the slug as the key and the attribute as the value. Changing this to use the label would end up with the label as the key, which cannot be relied on to be valid. Example:
Array ( [title] => Variant Label Test [description] => Variant Label Test [image_link] => https://placeholdit.imgix.net/~text?txtsize=33&name=Variant%20Label%20Test&w=530&h=530 [additional_image_link] => Array ( ) [link] => https://example.com/product/variant-label-test/?attribute_dimensions-cm=30x40 [brand] => My Great Blog [retailer_id] => wc_post_id_150 [price] => 10 USD [availability] => in stock [visibility] => published [sale_price_effective_date] => 1970-01-29T00:00+00:00/1970-01-30T23:59+00:00 [sale_price] => 10 USD [custom_data] => Array ( [Dimensions (cm)] => 30x40 ) )
In this case, it might work, but we can’t be sure what content is in the label at any time. It could include apostrophes or quotes that would break this.
I tried to find a filter for you in the plugin so that you could do this since your labels do not include these. I’m afraid I was unable to find a filter in the plugin where this could be possible.
I’ll make sure to share this with the product and engineering teams to see if this is something that we can add in a future release. Please make sure to keep an eye on the plugin’s changelog to see if this gets added!
Are there any other questions I can answer for you? Please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Thanks,
MarcusHey @deejayone,
Thank you for the update. I’m happy to hear that you are able to sync your products successfully!
Before I get you to try to share the large logs (I’m not sure they’ll help at this time if your products are syncing), would you please tell me about the failed Action Scheduler tasks? Are you seeing these error messages on the page or in your site’s error logs? Can I get you to share the “Hook” name of the failing schedules or a screenshot of one full, failed row?
Thanks,
MarcusForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Facebook Not syncingHey @snappyclick,
It has been a while since we heard from you, so I’m going to mark this topic as resolved. If you’re still experiencing issues and haven’t already reached out to us directly, please take a look at our documentation for more information and create a new thread if you have further questions.
Thanks,
MarcusHey @fcujorick2,
Marcus here from the support engineering team, hopping in for Jennifer to take a look at this with you. I think I’ve managed to catch up on the conversation, but please let me know if I’m missing something!
It sounds like you might be looking to only sync a subset of your products – does that sound correct? Currently, this can be done using the category/tag exclusion in the WooCommerce > Facebook plugin settings. At this time we don’t have inclusion settings to account for filtering out all the subcategories you have for your 11,500+ products!
To be sure that the plugin is connected properly, would you please check that Facebook logging is enabled (which it sounds like you did) and re-save one of your products? The logs should show whether or not that product synced successfully and we can go from there.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] ‘There has been a critical error on your website.’Hey @fatpotanga,
Thank you for following up and letting me know. Yes, version 2.2.0 was released late last week that might help.
In addition, we’ve seen a number of merchants have an issue with the plugin when their site’s PHP memory limit is set too low. We recommend having this set at 512mb at least. Your hosting company should be able to help you with this if you don’t have direct access to that server setting.
Would you please try updating the plugin and increasing the memory limit to see if that solves the issue?
Thanks,
MarcusHi @deejayone,
Marcus here from the support engineering team, stepping in for Jennifer to take a look at this with you. Thanks for increasing the memory limit and for spending some time troubleshooting this already!
It sounds like your site is successfully connected to Facebook and attempting to sync products, which is a great start. The Product Sync button/feature doesn’t actually use the action scheduler, so these errors may or may not be related.
Could I get you to please enable logging for the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin at WooCommerce > Facebook (or Marketing > Facebook in version 2.2.0)?
Once you’ve done this, would you please try another sync – if possible – and then grab the latest Facebook logs from WooCommerce > Status > Logs and share them here?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Pixel not tracking on pixel helperHi @camaleaocong,
Thank you for confirming this for me! With version 2.x, events are sent both through javascript and server to server. Since they have the same event ID, they are not duplicated, but this provides a more reliable way to track them.
Since you are connected and events are tracking (though, not without warning), could you please temporarily switch to a default theme, such as Twenty Twenty or Storefront, and let me know if you still experience issues? If so, not to worry, I’ll have some other troubleshooting steps for you to follow.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook!Hi Chris,
Thank you for your reply. I’d be happy to take a look. I have an email address that is specific to this conversation, so I’ll leave it in a Quickforget link so you can grab it, but that way it won’t remain here for others to jump in on ??
Here is the link to the email address:

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Duplicated Products in Facebook CatalogueHi @asiayeswecan,
Thank you for letting me know. You should be able to fill out the contact form without any kind of specific credentials, especially since this plugin doesn’t require a WooCommerce license ??
If you are having trouble with that, you can also use [email protected].
Would you please give that a try and let me know how it goes?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Pixel not tracking on pixel helperHi @camaleaocong,
Thank you for confirming this for me. It’s always good to make sure that the assets we’re using are the right ones ??
Would you please share which version of the plugin you are using here? The latest version is 2.1.4. Also, have you successfully connected the plugin to Facebook?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Shop now on Products broken (Required Fields)Hi @markjan2020,
Thank you for following up here. I often suggest using a service like Snippi to share log files. Since they contain information you might not want to share here publicly (like Facebook Business ID, etc), that’s understandable. You can share them with us directly.
If you don’t mind doing that, I’ll mark this topic as closed here and we can pick up in our help desk.
Thanks,
Marcus
