In reply to: wp-admin load gives white screenThanks, Scott. That sure is good to know. I’ll substitute WP-SpamShield.
I think Simple Tags is another one that isn’t updated to 4.1.1.

In reply to: wp-admin load gives white screenSuccess!
I manually reset my plugins as you suggested and isolated the problem (problem == no response, just white space) to the plugin WP-SpamFree. Deactivating this plugin solved the problem. Now everything seems fine. My version is 4.1.1
Thank you very much, James, for your help.

In reply to: site goneOK, my son-in-law helped me out and simply re-installed using my previously saved database. What he thinks happened is that when I upgraded to WP 3.2.1 I skipped over the “save your database” part. I remember doing that to save time. Fortunately I save databases once a week so I had the previous one. Now I’ve learned my lesson and will try not to be so cavalier again.

In reply to: site gonesiteurl and home in the wp_options table each have the option_value https://mcseavey.org/blog
db_version has the option_value 18226 and an option_id of 72.
All the blog_id values seem to be 0.

In reply to: site goneIt looks like all my old stuff is in my database, for example, 2,479 wp_posts records, over 2000 wp_comments records, etc., etc. These are from the tables for mard_wrdp1(31) database.

In reply to: site goneOK, and ignore what’s in my database? I guess I need to look at the step by step tutorial for this. But thanks. That’s probably what I need to do, upload to /blog since nothing is there now.

In reply to: site goneWell, I’ve been using the automatic upgrade when I’m in https://mcseavey.org/blog/wp-admin/
But apparently the blog sub-directory is gone.
The error log saysWarning: DocumentRoot [/home/mard/public_html] does not exist

In reply to: site gone@esmi: In cPanel when I click on File Manager and select root, I get a message “No records found.” Yet when I log into phpMyAdmin and select the database I will be importing into, I see that all the tables are filled with the old data. Also, when I ftp using https://ftp.mcseavey.org I see all the old files. So, the reason the screen is blank is that “No records are found.”??
I’m at a loss at this point. Do you have some suggestions?
Thank you.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: site gone@esmi Yes, now I can get into my cPanel without the big error message I received yesterday. What happened? Were you able to fix it?

In reply to: site goneI made a couple posts but they don’t get displayed, just a blank screen appears. I have not used my data backup file yet.
Could I give you log in information?

In reply to: site goneHere’s the response I got from the support ticket I entered:
Hello,
It sounds like your wordpress has been exploited somehow. Were you using old version of wordpress? If you do have backup, just wipe out all your data using FTP and start to install wordpress from scratch. You can restore your data that you have right now to get all your old content. But, make sure you have changed all your passwords.
Thanks
Tanmay H.

In reply to: site goneWhen I tried to log in to my host server through cPanel, I got the message, Malicious Web Site Blocked. This came from Norton. I’ve entered a support ticket with the host.
