    Yes, I have a database backup as of last Saturday, the 30th. Do I need to use precautions now that I’ve made a new site? Or does it matter? I’ve never restored from a database before and am not too skilled.

    Last evening I went through the automatic upgrade from 2.7.1 to 2.8.1 just fine — no error messages. The version number 2.8.1 was written into my admin page.

    So, fat, dumb and happy, I clicked on my blog url only to be shown NOTHING. Nothing was displayed, nothing at all.

    And now this morning after restarting my computer I can’t even get to my admin page.

    Why issn’t there something simple that can be done to solve this?

    Yes, I agree. It’s very annoying to have the new day start at 8pm. Why would this be such a difficult problem to fix?
