The watermarks are gone off??? That’s funny. But this is not a feature of my plug-in.

During the watermarking process, we create a new file (your pictures + watermark). Depend of your configuration, a copy of your original file will be created or not. So it is not possible that the watermark disappear when your files are not touched.

Please check if your web space provider did not a restore of a backup which was made before your vacations. Other case I have no clue what can be causing it. Sorry.

Sorry but i have not idea how to make your work easily.

maybe you can temporary move the files an your server? something like

mv * /tmp/new
mv /tmp/new/a* .
watermark for all pictures in directory
mv * /tmp/done

and repeat this with b*, c* or wthatever?

I know, this is a poor idea, but i don’t have a better one for now. thank you for your answer. maybe you will send me the url of your blog. i like to look nice pictures. ??

Hi Andy,

as I can see in your screenshot, your list shows only directories. But the check box will be show only then, when the file is a picture (png, gif, jpg).

Please navigate (click on the directory) deeper in your filesystem to the directory where you have stored the pictures and you will find the check boxes again.

what do you mean?

• if you use text – simply change the text-size.
• if you use .png file – simply use a bigger stempel.png file.

ok. i think i see your problem. your pictures are very huge and the available memory of your web server is insufficient. the

memory_limit = …

parameter in the php.ini file show you how is your memory limit.

to be sure please insert:

display_errors = On

statement in to your php.ini to see the error messages. if the message tell you something about memory. you must increase your memory limit.

other case you have to resize your picture to watermark them.

this is no a limitation by the plugin but by your web-server.

1. please describe what does not work! can you make a screen shots or copy if you have received some error?

2. please tell me what are you changed to resize the size?

3. if you use the stempel.png file – do you have still a correct png-file?

4. if you use text (what i think) so the transparency of your watermark text is 100%. so you can’t see the watermark. set this to 50%

unfortunately I have no idea about Photcratic gallery and I have no idea how i can connect my plugin to Photcratic.

But I think Photcratic store your pictures on your server. So you can easy watermark this files and Photcratic should show you watermarked pics.

Please try this with one picture and tell us your results. We will be happy to hear about your test.

Hi,

it’s strange. But maybe your directories contains some huge files?! Please check this. I can reproduce this kind of crashes, when u try to watermark very big pictures (> 80Mb) and my available memory is to small. Can you change the PHP-setting, to get more memory?

Please tell me if you have more available memory and you still get this error.

– if this watermark was working with your previous version of wordpress?
– about operating system, version of php, apachy?
– what exactly happen? do you see some warning, error?
– did you try to create preview with text or with a png file?
– tell me everything what in your opinion can be important for this case.

thank you for your post. Please check the requirements for watermark-plugin on windows os.

1. your PHP-version
   The function exif_imagetype is supported by PHP 4 >= 4.3.0 and PHP 5.
2. your PHP-configuration
   exif_imagetype Requirements
   Your PHP must be compiled in with –enable-exif. PHP does not require any additional library for the exif module. Windows users must also have the mbstring extension enabled.
3. PHP Installation
   To enable exif-support configure PHP with –enable-exif Windows users must enable both the php_mbstring.dll and php_exif.dll DLL’s in php.ini. The php_mbstring.dll DLL must be loaded before the php_exif.dll DLL so adjust your php.ini accordingly.

there are no filters for non-images. To test your problem, I have uploaded a file called “1-create-domain.jpg”. This file will by showed in the list: https://www.puv-blog.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/1-create-domain_jpg.png
IMHO this is a local problem of your werserver/filesystem/php/idon’tknowwhat.

Please send ma a screenshot of your file list of Watermark-Dir. Maybe i can see something.

IMHO you can select each single photo for watermarking and decide which one should be watermarked.

But maybe you can make some suggestions about “concepts of administration”. If you have good ideas maybe i can implement this in a further version? So lets go! Tell me your vision! And you can do this in Russian language ;).
