In reply to: [Simple Lightbox] Another useless pluginUpdate: This plugin is incompatible with CDN.
If you have CDN, your images will appear on a different window.
This other plugin works great: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-fancybox/
I can’t believe how much time I’ve wasted with Simple Lightbox. If it wasn’t one thing, it was another. Fortunately, I’ve now found a great alternative.

In reply to: [Simple Lightbox] Trouble with posts that have an imageThe settings are fine.
I found a plugin that’s incompatible with it. When I deactivate it, LSB works fine on images and links.
Unfortunately, SLB also seems to be incompatible with LeadBoxes – an absolutely essential tool for my business.
Thanks. It works now!

In reply to: [Simple Lightbox] Another useless pluginThanks for your reply.
I’ve reinstalled Simple Lightbox on my blog, and this time I’ve managed to get it to work.
The problem I had was that I was looking for the code. It turns out that there’s no code needed.
Unfortunately, I went through the rigmarole of deactivating plugins and double checking everything.
A two minute screencast video would have saved me several hours of guessing and frustration.
Hugh, Thanks for saving me an hour of my time. I didn’t even bother looking further from your review.

In reply to: [Fancier Author Box by ThematoSoup] Avatar squashed on IEThanks, Dragan. I really appreciate your help.
I’ve been thinking what to do about this and I’ve decided to concentrate on writing content for my blog rather than adding more plugins. Here are some details, though, in case you want to look into this issue:
1. I’m using IE7 and IE8 on a Mac through VMware
2. My WP theme is Genesis / Balance
On Firefox, Safari and Chrome my avatar was fine.
One thing I noticed was that the css of my theme was obviously clashing with that of the plugin, so the layout of the tabs was not what it should be. There was a gap of about 20px between the tabs and the author box.
Maria
Thanks, Jeremy.
To avoid having too many elements below each post, I’ve decided to go for a sharing plugin that puts the buttons on the side, so I won’t be needing those fixes.
I’m afraid I’ve read the ‘instructions’ in the link above four times, but I still don’t understand what I’m supposed to do. I find it most unclear.
Can anyone translate those instructions into understandable English?

In reply to: [Fancier Author Box by ThematoSoup] Avatar squashed on IEIn that case, you’d benefit greatly from looking into the issue, rather than ignoring it, since it would bring you more customers.
The bottom line is, with your plugin the avatars/gravatars appear squashed on IE. Until that issue is solved, your plugin is not good enough.

In reply to: [Fancier Author Box by ThematoSoup] Avatar squashed on IEI’ve removed the plugin because it looked unsightly. There are other people mentioning the same problem on the web.

In reply to: [nrelate Related Content] Change width of thumbnails.I have the same question. Has anyone managed to change the thumbnail dimensions to ‘rectangular’ – rather than ‘square’?
I didn’t get an error message. My functions.php file broke and I got the famous blank screen. I then had to re-upload the original funtions.php file to get my blog back.
