Thanks Carl for the detailed reply.

Is there a surefire way to tell if the update went smoothly?

To be specific, I updated from 13.5 > 14.7 and did NOT click the button to index before rolling back.
Then I rolled back, then updated again to 14.7, and finally clicked the index button.

No errors showed and the indexing completed without any issue.

I’m just concerned if updating then rolling back caused any OTHER tables to be messed up tables (not index tables).

For example, updating the plugin changes a row value from 0 > 1.
Then rolling back changes it back to 0.
But updating doesn’t change it back to 1 because Yoast “skips” it?

Is this possible? Or does updating overwrite it so it shows the right values?

I understand the tool fixes the new indexable tables, but what about the other tables that were modified when updating/rolling back? Is there any way to verify/repair them? Or does Yoast handle these kinds of issues automatically?

I just need to make sure that nothing was disturbed as I’m managing a site and can’t afford any technical mistakes.

    Thanks again.

I’m having the exact same problem and it seems like it’s limited to just one page. Super annoying. I’ve tried copy/pasting the blocks to a new page and the same problem persists. Rearranged the blocks, same thing. Can’t see anything in the actual page that’s causing this to happen. Definitely destroyed that page’s SEO.

I can say for sure it’s not limited to the newest version, as I’ve seen this before in previous versions but I somehow fixed it. Now, it’s back again and I just updated to the newest version and it’s duplicating 2/3 of the page.

    Otherwise, it’s a good plugin.

Steven, do you need to see the page? I’ll email it to you if that’s your email in your @shazahm1hotmailcom username.

    Thanks.

    Hi Leo,

Thanks for responding. I’m using the latest version of WP with GeneratePress and Gutenberg doesn’t have screen options on the actual post editor.

From what I can see, you can only access them by clicking on the gear > option.

Doing so, there’s no checkbox for “authors” to enable/disable. I have the standard stuff like permalinks, category, discussion, etc. But “authors” isn’t an option on that list.

Here’s what the panel shows right now:

    Howdy!

Thanks for your reply! I noticed that StatCounter is missing all AMP traffic data.

Added the tracking ID to the “StatCounter” field exactly as it the documentation says.

    There’s a “#” before the field, so it’s like:

    Example: “#https://c.statcounter.com/123/0/123/1/”

Is this correct? Or should we remove the “#”?

I added the code after I had the plugin activated for a day or so. Is there an AMP plugin cache that needs to be cleared to update with the code?

    Thanks!

Thanks a ton. I’ll be switching to the Split by after I disable the redirection, just so I can avoid any performance issues down the line. Thanks for your assistance during this matter! Awesome support! This can be resolved!

@jdembowski I apologize for that. I don’t recall reporting anything- may have been haphazard with the keyboard.

@ravanh In that case, I’ll probably disable the auto redirect so it can split properly since there are a ton of posts. We can switch freely without any repercussions, correct?

Rank Math is a new SEO plugin that does allow redirect of date/author archives exactly like Yoast. So that’s probably the error basis.

That did it! Is there any drawback to having it Split to None?

I’m using Rank Math. No warning showed up. RM is still pretty new so maybe it hasn’t been coded yet? Or something broke? Not too sure.

    Thanks for your solution!

    Hi RavanH,

When I click on the “post-types,” on the standard sitemap, it brings me directly back to the homepage.

I just changed the “Split by” settings to Month and also cleared the cache. The same issue seems to persist.

    The URL is here

    Thanks ??

    Things I’ve noticed:

The site’s login page looks weird, like it’s missing the CSS styling and appears left-justified rather than in the center.

WP won’t automatically default to the default theme when the current theme is renamed. It just shows an error on the home page until changed back.

After logging in and going to the home page, the admin bar appears at the top. Clicking on any link that takes you to the WP backend throws a 404 page.

When .htaccess is removed, this error is shown:

You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/ on this server.
Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Also tried using both wp-login.php and wp-admin.

    Very confused.

I disabled all the plugins and the issue still persists.

I also went into my themes folder and changed the current theme’s name. But then I get an error on the homepage saying:

“The theme directory “astra” does not exist.”

I’ve also just completed a fresh install of everything except the wp-content folder.

Added these lines and edited them to wp-config:
    define(‘WP_HOME’,’https://example.com’);
    define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’https://example.com’);

    Still getting the same problem.

    Also, I’ve tried the following:

Deleting .htcaccess but I get this error:

    Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/ on this server.
Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Hi,

    I’m using the following plugin:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/malinky-ajax-pagination/

I tried using the following settings:
    Posts Selector = .tc-post-list-grid
    Post Selector = .tc-grid-post
    Navigation Selector = .nav-next
    Next Selector = .nav-links a.next

But it doesn’t do anything. I also tried turning on post-navigation from the menu, and it also doesn’t seem to work.

Then, I tried using your plugin and only changing .container and leaving the other options default, but I just get loading bars that never finish loading.

    Any ideas?

Thanks, but it doesn’t seem to be working.

Yes, I’m using the grid layout.

Is the next selector that I stated previously correct? Or should it be something like:

    .nav-next a.next
