In reply to: [Hueman] Quick code questionNormally in your editor. I’m using free plugin Tiny MCE, which gives extra styling options in your blog text. You just choose table, with one row and 3 columns.

In reply to: [Hueman] change language fileHi Ansgar,
this is what I did (I took note of it, because I’m not an experienced WordPress-user):
I downloaded the translation .po files in a zip-file from Github
Then I edited using Poedit and saved it
Automatically the .mo file is created.
I uploaded throught ftp (filezilla) to a new folder “language” in the childtheme-folderAfter that I followed the instructions on https://demo.alxmedia.se/wp-content/themes/hueman/functions/documentation/documentation.html#customization : you have to modify functions.php (on this page, search for text “The same method would be used to change language files folder. You would then copy over the whole alx_load() function, but only modify this one line in it:”
Hope this will help you out.

In reply to: [Hueman] Modifying Date FormatThanks! I just followed the steps you pointed out, and it works. As far as I’m concerned, the discussion is closed, but I did’n’t start is, so I just leave it at this.

In reply to: [Hueman] Modifying Date FormatHi BDBrown,
I’m very impressed by your knowhow! Ik hope you can help me out. I managed to change the 3 content-.php files earlier, but in view of future updates, I now copied these to the child theme. To get the date right in the side bar, I now should alter the functions.php file. But I have no idea what part of it: I cannot find a date format in the functions.php file, either in the file that already existed in the child-theme or in the file of the original theme. Emptying cache did not help.
Could you please help out?

In reply to: [Hueman] Modifying Date FormatI have the same question, and found no solution. I managed to change some of the .php (parent)files involved (knowing that after the next update, I will loose these changes, but for the time being I can live with that).
Nevertheless, I could not find where to remove the comma in the sidebar widgets where the post-name, post-date and image are shown.
I too would appreciate if there would be a simple way to just remove this comma for good (preferably in the next update).
On the whole, I must say I love this theme, this is the only problem I encountered.

In reply to: [Hueman] Sticky PostWhy don’t you use another name for the category: for instance “mustread!” instead of sticky? Or any other name you fancy and is better looking?

In reply to: [Favicon by RealFaviconGenerator] cannot download JSON fileUnfortunately, Hostnet was not able to fix the problem. I haven’t had time yet to install manually. It’s not very urgent, so I put it on my to-do-list for somewhere next month.
Thanks for your help so far, I will get back to you if need be. For now, I consider the topic as closed.

In reply to: [Hueman] 404 errorsHi BDBrown, thanks for the information. I understand that 404 errors are not harmful, so that’s a relief, although it’s a bit annoying to have 50 or more errors per day.
I still wonder what could be done in the theme settings te prevent these errors. I suppose I should get a proper eduction on WordPress to find out ??I anyone has a suggestion where to look for a solution, I would appreciate.
okay, thanks for the explanation. I’m not really experienced with this kind of issues, so I’m grateful for any help on this!

In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache] Browser caching and gzipThanks for your support. Sorry to inform you that I just found out that my hosting provider does not support Gzip compression ??
They haven’t enabled Gzip because it does not enhance speed enough related to the resources it takes on their servers.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache] Browser caching and gzipSo what should I ask them? I just tried to explain to their helpdesk that the problem should be resolved by the hosting provider, but it seems they have no idea what I’m talking about. I’m not really familiar with the more technical aspects, so I really appreciate your help on this.
