In general, if the theme is too functional with too many unnecessary integrations for your needs, then why would you use a template and a content management system at all? Build your website with pure HTML only. In terms of how much functionality this theme has, it is extremely fast. You may also be using poorly coded plugins that are slowing down your website further.

I manage dozens of websites built with this theme, and I have never had any problems with updating. I guess the problems are due to the server problems or installed plugins which cause incompatibility problems. WordPress is a very dynamic system, so updates can cause problems not only with the template update, but also with the plugins or the content management system itself. It is your problem if you dont create site backups. It is even bigger problem if server doesnt create backups. In addition, use the website uptime monitor to know when your website is down so that you can restore your backup as quickly as possible. Also, you can turn off automatic updates, and do them manually and see if everything is OK.

Look at the template documentation, there are all the settings you need to align it. If you can’t manage it yourself, maybe don’t create site by yourselft, and don’t give 1 star for not being able to read the documentation. Give development to those who understand.
