I got this to work using a combination of plugins:

– dFactory Responsive Lightbox Plugin (RLP)
– Vixy Youtube Embed

I configured RLP in fancybox mode.

I used the youtube_thumb option to embed the video:

youtube_thumb target=”_blank” rel=”lightbox” version=”hq” width=227 height=175 alt=”Demo video”]RRdnmQfT-tQ[/youtube_thumb]

Now I get a thumbnail that when opened plays in lightbox via RLP.

Works like a charm!

Can I add options to the [youtube] [/youtube] part?

I have to add rel=”lightbox” as option (dfactory responsive lightbox plugin). However doing so results in not be able to play the video.

Or do you have an advise for another plugin that will work with Vixy?

Hi,

Disabling all plugins doesn’t make a difference. It looks like it’s conflicting with something in the theme and I really hope you can help me with it; cause the theme developers won’t.

Switching theme’s isn’t an option. Switching the plugin isn’t either. This is the only Video Lightbox plugin I could find that works this good. Else I’m back to embedding video’s again and I would not like to do that.

That’s not really an option ?? It’s like changing cars when you only have a flat tire.

However the theme developer wrote me some CSS which works:

.page-id-1511 .contact_section {
display: none;
}

Maybe other people can use it as well.

Thanks for the reply. A plugin is installed that is used by my theme: WP Shortcode by MyThemeShop. Disabling the plugin doesn’t make the comment form dissapear.

I checked with the theme developer. No cache mechanism is built in the theme and I didnt install additional caching plugins.

Guess I was wrong. Even disabling the lightbox option in my theme doesn’t make the problem go away. Hope you can help me with this.
