Sorry, I should have added that one:
3.5.1, and all of my plug-ins are up-to-date.

It was working fine (with this theme) for a couple of years. So I guess it must then be related to a plugin? (or I guess the interaction of the plugin plus the theme). Curiously, I haven’t installed any new plugins, so this started happening although I didn’t install any new plugins (only updated existing…trying not to add anything since I don’t know what I’m doing!!).
It sounds like then the best would be to deactivate all of the plugins and then start adding back one by one and see when thing “break” again. Thank you – I’ll start trying this…

    Yes, indeed it is.
Actually you can still see the header “Description” on the left side of the page, but on the right where the text box is…nothing!
Or I should say the text box, with current text inside, appears for just a fraction of a second before going away. The word “Description” remains.
It has worked in the past, but recently with some change it has gone away ??
I am not actually sure what theme I am using. It was based on some free one from a couple years ago, now modified. But I don’t see a reference to the theme name (although I might be looking right past it and not even know – the current theme in Appearance > Themes just has the website name on it and then the text below says “custom theme” which I guess was changed by the person who helped me ages ago).

I should also note – when I toggle the Description on/off using the screen options (or any of the other options), nothing happens at all.
    Thanks for any tips-

Thanks for the pointers. Much appreciated.
I’m trying to set myself up in a good position so I don’t have to do things over and over… so I can pull whatever is in the database to different places on my site as needed. Maybe learn how to do amazing things one day like add product filters (so a visitor could select products under $10, products that are blue, etc.).

Thanks for the tips and I’ll get started checking these Pods out.

Great, much thanks. Although that sounds pretty straightforward, I have some learning to do in order to do those things…(even uploading a new copy of things is confusing to me..). WIll read and learn.
On the 301 redirect comment I forgot to add – is there an easy (!) way to completely delete old posts that have been given a URL so you can “re-use” the same URL so you don’t have to use a redirect? I think that means I have a post that I want to delete but then use the same permalink? (hopefully I have my terms right!)
    Much appreciated-

    Thanks-
I actually have deleted all old themes (am using a new one – PageLines) and deleted all the old plugins as well, so I’m a bit stumped why WP is still telling me I have a broken Theme. I just have the new theme, that wouldn’t alone produce this error.
I’m guessing there are files loitering about somewhere that I need to delete perhaps?

Today I’m showing “suspended” for the entire site. Rats!
