Polylang Support itself showed some interest in this topic as well – but if no official Elementor documentations are there, I doubt anyone will make a move unfortunately

I spent also already some time on it, opened a ticket as I thought it comes from Polylang … would be glad to see it taken over to the new default Top Bar as well

I still think this is all a joke .. after 2 weeks two or three updates but nothing addressing this confusing Live Label. Which code was it again to get rid of that in the correct way?

I only did a very quick check on the dev system and it seemed to be fixed now. Confirmed.

I agree with what someone said – everything becomes unreliable when we must add code snippets here and there for temporary “fixes” of “bugs”or confusing situatons due to not well thought through new features. Weeks or months later this is “solved” and the code snippets stay … very common scenario

I hope you are able to move up the priority. Subsribed to the github issue.

I didn’t have enough time to think how I can make use of this new feature and align it with already available features like password protection feature, coming soon / maintenance site and header, and staging/live migration.

However, just today I updated my staging (i.e. pulled in a new version from live). I see the WooCommerce label “LIVE” on my staging site now as well.

Two things I want to leave here:

1. the label is confusing, you would need an additional tooltip to tell what it actually means for the individual situation which makes it useless
2. it takes space and is super intrusive in my opinion; why would we make an already bad UI even worse?

Thanks – I only tested it on one single site. The admin notice does not show anymore on the Custom Events tracking.

But it’s still very odd how it shows / not shows anymore in general e.g. Ecommerce Revenue tracking.

It’s just reacting in an odd way when enabling / disabling / refreshing the page. But the confusion with “Custom Events” is gone, as it definitely does not show here anymore

@plausible Thanks, then I’ll pay attention to this when I set up a new site – it only came up as I had invested a lot in the past already with those topics in here and on github, and I feared I must go back going over all the troubleshooting process again

Understand, then I’ll not update till 2.3.x is out officially and keep the 2.3.24 enabled for now. It works as expected, I could finally delete DearPDF and replace it with DearFlip.

Thanks for providing that version – I would need to know though, is this now a “special” version and with the next plugin update it’ll be overwritten again? Or will the “feature” to change the Viewer Typ to Reader to get the same scroll behavior like in DearPDF (scroll instead of flip) be implemented permanently?

I am replacing now 2.2.55 with 2.3.24 – so there is obviously a bit of a jump in the version.

Now as one of the issues is solved (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/critical-error-when-enabling-selective-script-loading/) I am ready to switch, however, DearPDF came with the very simple normal scroll. In DearFlip I have to flip through the pages.

Scrolling beats flipping a million times, so I am surprised to see that feature gone

Am I missing a setting? Can you officially say something about this?

I can confirm it does work now – I didn’t check script size and compared it, but only tested the selective script loading feature and it’s not throwing an error anymore. Also the dflip.min.js and dflip.min.css are only loading on the page where the shortcode is added
