In reply to: My Site is Slow, even in the Admin PanelI don’t mind their feedback on the post. I think it’s good to collaborate on status updates for hosting issues…when having a wordpress site…who knows, maybe one of us will still have WordPress issues after 1and1 get’s their heads out of their culos.
Still issues for me this morning. Total bummer because I have an advertiser conisdering ad space for the first time and this happens….

In reply to: My Site is Slow, even in the Admin PanelI wanted to give this thread a heads up on 1and1, they have not fixed the issue…I will have to call them back again tomorrow.

In reply to: My Site is Slow, even in the Admin PanelHaving the same issue. It’s not just the web page, but the wp-admin too, and it is optimized and has small graphics. Are you by any chance using a 1&1 server?
Using https://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ I can see that your site as well as mine are hung up in the Server Wait Time.
Yes I am using 1and1.
I just got off of a call with 1and1 and they had to ‘make a change’ on their end to fix it. They stated 30min – 1hr wait time on improvement. Give em a call.
A lot of good suggestion here though folks. Awesome support system!

In reply to: My Site is Slow, even in the Admin PanelI saw that and I am going to begin resizing those photos.
Although, should this affect the Admin panel issues? I was contemplating on upgrading my word press to see if this would help but would like to avoid jumping all the way to 3.9
I also attempted to deactivate all plug ins, this did not have a positive affect. Also noticed that even after deactivating all of the plug ins and linking Jetpack back up to my site, it was very very very slow…
Any other ideas for admin panel issues?

In reply to: My Site is Slow, even in the Admin PanelHello All,
I have been using the code above but I noticed that the random images are not pulling by random. I have over 8000 photos in my nextgen library.
https://maronesj.com/random-photo-generator/
Reload the page and you’ll notice it will pull the same photos over and over.
here is my shortcode.
$example = new C_Widget(); $example->echo_widget_random(20,150,150,'','','thumbnail');
Any ideas?
Ah ha! View raw file of revision, copy and paste! I was copying all of the line numbers and stuff. You developers rule. NEXTGEN donation coming when I get my tax return!
How do you apply the fix? Sorry, not so good with code.
