Hello – I have the same problem as MikeA1: with 3.15.1, sidebars are missing – but only the right-hand sidebars on posts using the Default template. Sidebars appear for me in pages using the Sidebar/Content template.

Isn’t it odd, though, that it is only happening on two sites, although all three are hosted on the same server?

Also, the problem was only temporarily fixed on one of the sites when I restored the site from a day-old backup; however, when WordPress logged me out and I logged back in again to that restored copy of the site, the problem resumed.

Anyway, I have written to the web host, and will see what they have to say. Thanks for taking the time to respond/advise, and thanks again for a great plugin.

It’s working now. No idea what was happening there.

Further update: just installed the latest Virtue theme update, and the problem returned… somewhat.

If I only NARROW the page but keep the window open from the top to the bottom of my screen (a long, skinny window), the problem recurs. If I narrow AND shorten the screen (or open the inspect panel at bottom, which has the effect of shoRtening the window showing the actual webpage)–in other words, if the aspect ratio is maintained–then the problem resolves.

I am using various extensions. When I check “console” it notes no errors – however, the problem was magically resolved this morning, after I “inspected” the page…

Sure, I can be specific – I just didn’t mean to drag you into another problem!

The issue with Draw Attention: on the site with Virtue, the “clickable areas” I define with Draw Attention (which are mapped on top of an underlying image) are not responsive – they do not re-size in synch with the images onto which they have been mapped. On smaller screens, the image shrinks but the areas mapped by Draw Attention retain their original size and location – the relationship between them is broken/lost.

This does not occur on another WP site of mine using a different theme (Cusomtizr) – on that site, the Draw Attention areas are responsive, too, and re-size in synch with the underlying image.

Thanks: I installed and activated CMB2 and the conflict affecting page editing options was resolved.

However – and this is just FYI; I am not asking for any more help, as you have done enough – there is still something going on with Draw Attention, perhaps some other conflict with Virtue, as the plugin is not working on this site as it does for me on other sites… But it is immaterial to me, as I can live without it. The main thing is that I can edit pages properly again!

Hello again –

I just discovered that it is, in fact, a plugin conflict! I did not test them one by one before; I just de-activated them all at once to see if the problem would resolve… now I realize I was also deactivating the toolkit when I did that. Just now, I deactivated all plugins EXCEPT the toolkit, and the sidebar editing option re-appeared! So, one of the plugins has a conflict. I am sorry to have put you though all this trouble!
