Actually, I previously did that: I deactivated all the plugins to test for a conflict, but even with them all deactivated the sidebar options still did not appear. I did not know about the need to clear the cache, however, so I just tried that: deactivating all plugins, then clearing the cache before trying to edit the page again – but even still, the sidebar options are not available.

Thank you for the reply. I am able to enter as many characters as I want into the data field, but when I save the record (using “Submit” or “Apply”), the content is consistently truncated. My site is hosted on Digital Ocean which does not have a conventional control panel (it is a hosting service intended for professional developers, which sadly I am not…), so I am unsure how to look at the database directly. Thanks again for any suggestions you might have…

However, with your latest PDB update you managed to fix the problem anyway! The pencil icons are back!

I have a problem that may be related to this post. I can no longer edit entries in PB, because the pencil icon no longer appears next to the data record in List Participants view. It always used to do so, and I have been happily using PB for years with great results, but now the edit option (the pencil icon) simply is not there.

I deactivated all my other plugins in case it was due to a conflict with one of them, but still no pencil. My site is a WordPress site, and I just updated to the latest version of WordPress – but the problem persists. Any idea what might be going on here?
