Tara, I am using the latest version of CF7.

I have temporarily resolved the situation. I called the Bluehost helpline and they said that the database upgrade would not update the wordpress version back to 4.6 as I feared. So all works now although I’m forced to use the earlier version of WordPress until the CF7 plug-in is made compatible with WordPress 4.6

Thanks for all your help. I downgraded wordpress to the previous version and the contact forms are now working.

Let’s hope the folks at Contact Form 7 upgrade their plug-in soon to give a more permanent fix.

I don’t want to use 4.6 because my Contact Form 7 plug-in doesn’t work with 4.6. I just downgraded, but now when I try to log in to my Dashboard, I get a notice that Database Update is required. How do I bypass that?

hoving10, which WP-Mail-SMTP plug-in are you using? The ones I’ve looked at are not compatible with WP 4.6

I’m having the same issue with Contact form 7 version 4.5 on WordPress 4.6. How do I roll wordpress back to 4.5.3?
