It did not rotate in my setup either but I got it to work:

1) install the last version of the plugin normally (Version 0.8.8 now)
2) download the update: (https://github.com/kavingray/WP-UI/zipball/master)
3) Use ftp and only overwrite the wp-ui.php file + js folder
(find it here in your WP installation: wp-content/plugins/wp-ui/)

Now its rotating here ??

Thanks for the replies. @marventus; I am trying to change the recent posts on the showcase.php (the ones below the sticky posts) The sticky posts are shown in the featured posts section.

It starts at L. 157:

<?php // Display our recent posts, showing full content for the very latest, ignoring Aside posts.

I will have a look and try to use the query posts function to achieve my goal of choosing only posts from one category. Thanks so far. Kind regards. M.
