I’m running the latest version of WP and the plugin was working fine with it until I just clicked on the auto update in the dashboard. Now I’m getting this message where the translator was appearing.

Hi Chris,

I have version 2.6.6 which I believe is the latest. So I’m not sure what to do to resolve this, as deleting and re-installing the plugin doesn’t change anything. The hang you can see in the screenshot link I posted doesn’t go away, nor can I delete any of the three files now listed under FTP server backup.

The developer of the theme I’m using helped me resolve this by providing the code I needed and telling me where to put it.

Hi, not sure why this thread is marked resolved. I have not been able to get this plugin to add new contacts to my CC lists, and so have uninstalled it.

I would happily pay a reasonable fee for something that worked.

Thanks Handoko. I will avoid using the File Change Detection and I do my backups with a separate plugin and a cron job via cpanel.

I was able to reinstall the plugin by following Handoko’s tips (thanks again for that Handoko!), and for now I’m just using the default Secure from Basic Attacks settings.

I believe I have 256mb of RAM with my shared hosting linux package. I’m guessing that’s not enough to make use of some of the features of Better WP Security.

I am going to leave alone for now, all the additional security features that come with caveats.

Thank you Handoko. I’ve deleted the code that Better WP Security added to my .htaccess file and in my DB I found two out of the three records you referenced and deleted them too. I will try re-installing the plugin and report back.

If I remove the Better WP Security code from my .htaccess file as suggested in the sticky above, will I then be able to re-install the plugin safely? As things stand if I try to install it from the WP dashboard it just hangs.

This is disappointing. Not only can’t I use the plugin, but as a member of Constant Contact’s Partner program, I can’t yet recommend it to my clients.

A quick update, I deleted the old plugin version and installed the latest one (2.4.0.3) I double checked my CC login name and password in the Word Press settings and I’m getting the message saying that they “…seem to be working.”

But still, new contacts are not being added.

Zack Katz if you read this, can you help?

I dug a little deeper and found this from another thread, regarding a conflict caused by the All-in-one-event-calender.

They have fixed this issue! Please delete your current All-in-One Event Calendar installation.

I can confirm this. At least it worked for me. The latest version of the calender is 1.9.1.

My site is not newly installed, but the Yoast plugin is. I am having the same problem, so I checked the memory setting in the php.ini file. It’s set to 256m.

So still stuck for a solution.
