In reply to: Need noob advice with all these syndication stuff1. No they are not the same, Technorati is a blog directory, FeedBurner is just another way of serving your feed to people and RSS is an actual syndication format.
2. No you don’t.
3. They shouldn’t, the FeedBurner Plugin just makes it easier to serve your content through FeedBurner.
4. They just add extra functionality to the feeds which WordPress generates.
5. Those buttons are for subscribing to the feed in different ways, like you can use Google Reader or Bloglines to read the feeds.
6. I believe it’s the Subscribe Me Plugin
