Honestly this is the only plugin which allows you to create posts from the BuddyPress profile and for the life of me I don’t understand why it’s not included as a standard feature of BuddyPress. At this point I’m just hoping the plugin is still being supported. If a price tag was strapped to it, Social Articles, I’d pay for it.

Not sure I follow when you say unable to publish custom post types. At this point all I’m doing is creating posts from imported news posts. Sounds like I need to research on posting RSS feeds for custom post types.

In viewing the WP RSS multi importer I see that they only provide two features by default:
Display feeds from one or more sites on your blog
Aggregate feeds from multiple sites

Everything else has a cost and for those prices you should get excellent support. Whereas on the other hand WP Pipes provides way more features for free. So I’ll cut my teeth on this one and have the other one as an absolute last resort.

After having sites hacked due to “favorite” plugins not being updated by the developers I’ve learned that it’s best to let go than hang on hoping the developer will become motivated to keep the project updated.

This plugin has “money” written all over it and for the life of me I can’t understand why he refuses to pursue this option and keep it updated. You have only a handful of competitors so you’d win hands down!
This is what sucks about open source and not being a “coder”. When a coder decides to go play kickball instead of updating their plugin you’re left flapping in the wind. >:-/

I’ve got multiple projects that I’m desperate to use this feature on and although I don’t mind paying for plugins or support your pricing system is kind of “frustrating” so I choose not to use it. The features you charge for free are included in this and I think the WP Pipes plugin for free. You charge for feed to post, add categories, excerpts and thumbnails! That’s almost $200 for just these three (3) features! Wow! I won’t say how I really feel! No disrespect, I guess this plugin has spoiled me so my expectations may be slightly skewed in terms of what I should get for free and what’s deemed premium.

Starting to look @wp Pipes more closely.

I locate and select each group, import, and upload the same file to each group.

Have it working on a newly rebuilt site as well with no problems. The only hitch is that the site’s running WP 4.1.2 with but with the latest version of this plugin. No errors when running the diagnostic.

The developer is obviously operating in stealth node. Nonetheless I’m glad he’s taking the time to update the plugin.

Glanced over WP Pipes initially but may have to re-consider if nothing comes of Multi Importer. Hoping the developer will chime in any second and provide some type of update.

What’s interesting to me is that I have that plugin installed and working on a new site and haven’t ran into any issues. Is there a write up on this security issue? It’s gonna suck to have to take out the plugin as it’s the main feature of the site.
What’s annoying is that while I don’t mind paying for plugins $77 – $139 seems too high and just feels wrong! So I’m hoping the developer sees the revenue potential and brings it back as is with a lesser price tag.

Been searching for this plugin and judging by the comments above the author has decided to no longer support it? Please say it aint so? If need be create a pro version, slap a price tag, and bring it back! The alternative WP RSS Aggregator is too price and complicated.

Initially thought the issue was limited to the theme until I tried with a different theme. To date I’ve tried this on three separate networks with the same configuration and different themes and I exhibit the same issue.

Nope! I have multiple themes on different networks and I still experience this issue. Case in point this network was built prior to the major releases for WP & BP:

This is the same multi-site multi-network and on it I have different themes. None of these are domain mapped, and on one I have BP activated at the site and not the network level.

In addition I only have a select few plugins installed. The one consistent across all sites is buddypress.

Here’s an oddity. I have another multisite network built the exact same way using BP multi-network here:

Each network has BP activated and has its own groups and each group a totally different avatar.

The only difference between the two networks is the theme and that I’m using a different avatar for each group whereas on the beautyugly network I’m using the same avatar for each of the groups.

Not sure if that makes a difference but figured I’d add it.

This frustrating! Two weeks and not even a scratch from either of these WP/BP support developer forums. Of the millions of people supposedly using WP/BP I can’t be the only one experiencing this issue!

BP is network activated on each of the networks using the BP Multi-Network plugin.

Neither. Just the default method for uploading an image when creating a buddypress group.
