In reply to: How to move the website to the rootHi Esmi,
The info are a little bit confusing. At the end, it says to log in with the new address https://www.example.com/wordpress/wp-admin but that is the actual login page.
Please clarify.
ThanksForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problem to add media to the pageI cannot see any error. Which tab are you referring to? HTML, CSS, script or profile?

In reply to: Problem to add media to the pageNo I am not. I am using IE. By the way I tried to use chrome and follow the same workaround method but it does not work. It does not add any media. Therefore it only works with IE.

In reply to: Problem to add media to the pageSure.
I wrote the pages with media sometime ego so the only difference with now are the following:
1) I installed a microsoft security essential and I removed panda from my computer.
2) By mistake, I wrongly changed the url of wordpress and home in general settings. I did not have access to my admin page for some time. My hosting provider solved the issue as I tried many times to change funtions.php and wp-config by myself but nothing worked.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problem to add media to the pageOK – After many tries I found a way to add media. Basically “Add media” did not work so I did a right click on “featured media” on the right handside of the dashboard and opened it in a new tab. As my previous post, “insert in the post” takes to a blank page. I closed this blank page tab but the media was correctly added. I don’t have any idea why it happens as it was working fine before.
Now I have another problem. All the images onto all pages are iperlinks. If I click on the images, it takes me to a page with the image itself. Is there anyway to remove that iperlink on each image?

In reply to: How to have wordpress back to up and runningOK – I did the following:
– By FTP, I went to the theme directory and downloaded functions.php.
– I add the lines(Of course my web site replace example) as below:<?php update_option('siteurl','https://example.com'); update_option('home','https://example.com'); // Registers the Widgets and Sidebars for the site function skt_widgets_init() { register_sidebar(array( 'name' => 'blog-sidebar-area', 'before_widget' => '<li id="%1$s" class="widget-container %2$s">', 'after_widget' => '</li>', 'before_title' => '<h3 class="widget-title">', 'after_title' => '</h3>', )); register_sidebar(array( 'name' => 'footer-first-sidebar-area', 'before_widget' => '<li id="%1$s" class="widget-container %2$s">', 'after_widget' => '</li>', 'before_title' => '<h3 class="widget-title">', 'after_title' => '</h3>', )); register_sidebar(array( 'name' => 'footer-second-sidebar-area', 'before_widget' => '<li id="%1$s" class="widget-container %2$s">', 'after_widget' => '</li>', 'before_title' => '<h3 class="widget-title">', 'after_title' => '</h3>', )); register_sidebar(array( 'name' => 'footer-third-sidebar-area', 'before_widget' => '<li id="%1$s" class="widget-container %2$s">', 'after_widget' => '</li>', 'before_title' => '<h3 class="widget-title">', 'after_title' => '</h3>', )); } add_action( 'widgets_init', 'skt_widgets_init' ); /***************register nav menus*********************/ register_nav_menus( array( 'Header' => __( 'Primary Navigation','analytical'), )); /***** Make theme available for translation ****/ // Translations can be filed in the /lang/ directory function skt_lang_setup(){ load_theme_textdomain('analytical', get_template_directory_uri() . '/languages'); } add_action('after_setup_theme', 'skt_lang_setup'); /* * Loads the Options Panel * * If you're loading from a child theme use stylesheet_directory * instead of template_directory */ if ( !function_exists( 'optionsframework_init' ) ){ //Theme Shortname $shortname = 'analytical-lite'; $themename='Analytical Lite Theme'; define( 'OPTIONS_FRAMEWORK_DIRECTORY',get_template_directory_uri() . '/SketchBoard/includes/' ); require_once get_template_directory() . '/SketchBoard/includes/options-framework.php'; require_once get_template_directory() . '/SketchBoard/functions/admin-init.php'; }
– I saved it as functions.php by using a note pad.
– I deleted fuctions.php from the theme directory and upload the amended fuctions.php by FTP.
– I browsed https://www.example.com/wordpress/wp-admin and https://www.example.com/wordpress/wp-login but the page cannot be found.What am I doing wrong?
