I’m no expert on this, but…I think you just need to change comment_status to open from closed in wp_posts.

If you check now, does all the posts in your DB have status closed? In that case, you could try and make a batch run to set them all to open.

Whatever you do though, create backup of the DB first…

Maybe someone else have a better suggestion.

Maybe I should rewrite it, as I may have been a little unclear.

What I meant was that I have a category named “Allm?nna inl?gg”, which would be “general posts” in english I guess.

I’ve always had it set so that when I start a new post, that category is already selected, but for some reason no category at all becomes preselected when I start a new post, no matter what I choose, i.e. I have to choose a category every time I post.

Not a big issue, but it’s irritating.

The checksum for the zip should be:
749D46D7A6D82E6B4DB03962D7AB0FDE *wordpress-2.1.zip

download a program which can calculate the checksum, such as https://www.fastsum.com/ for example.

Thank you! I thought after reading the new feature, “Our new tabbed editor allows you to switch between WYSIWYG and code editing instantly while writing a post.” that I would be able to do it on the post screen.

But after you helped me, I saw I can only switch between them after I’ve set the setting in my profile. This doesn’t seem user friendly though and should be changed.

I’m glad to hear that this is about to be fixed. I can’t send trackbacks either. Haven’t been able to test the receiving part though, but sending definitely doesn’t work. :-/

I remember that another release of wordpress caused trouble with trackbacks as well. Is it very tricky to make it work?
