I’d prefer for my permalinks to be human-readable rather than truncated in accordance with what the permalink editing engine deems is essential vs. inessential.

Is there any way to change the default “Select” text that automatically appears in a contact form’s drop down menu to something else, like “Select One:”?

When I create a drop-down menu, the default text says “Select”

Can I change that default text? If so, how?

Putting [Please select] in brackets next to one of my drop-down options doesn’t change the initial default drop-down menu text.

I’d also like to know how to use the wp-pagenavi plugin to handle the display of the pagination within blog-in-blog.

You can edit that value in the Special Recent Posts widget’s “Advanced Posts Options.”

Look for the “Post String Break” value and enter your desired link text there.

I’m having this exact same error after upgrading to WordPress 3.4 this morning. I can’t even open the home page, actually.

If you find a fix, or if anyone else knows the answer, please let us know!

I was able to duplicate the problem on my computer once–I navigated directly to stringloveguitar.com/store and the old page appeared.

But when I navigated through the nav menu to that Store page from a different page, I arrived at the updated version and haven’t been able to get to the old version since on my computer. That exploration all occurred this morning on my machine.

I don’t have any other computers to test with at the moment…I’ll be someplace tomorrow where I can do some testing on a PC.

Hey–no, not running any caching plugins.

Just emptied the cache/cookies on her computer, and that didn’t resolve this issue…still seeing the old version of the nav menu and the Store page when I visit through her Safari browser.

Anything else I can do to investigate further? (thanks for your help!)
