One LAST problem i’m having… Even if i use the tools stated above and I create a page with a “home” slug and just regular text in the ‘page content’ field – I get this on my “new homepage”:

welcome home!

One of the main challenges I’m facing is…

The theme I’m using (https://themes.wordpress.net/columns/3-columns/747/glued-ideas-subtle-01/) has a small “informational” box on top of the two sidebar columns on the right side.

As well, in regular pages (other than the homepage), I can’t seem to display my sidebars at ALL. When I create a “home” page (with the “home” slug) to make it static, I lose all of this.

Any ideas on this?

I actually tried semi-static plugin, and it didn’t quite work out the way I had hoped… either that, or I didn’t understand all the technical terms well enough to implement it properly!

Is someone able to explain it in plain english (i.e. laymen terms)?
