Good news!
We have found (almost) the source of the problem:Our site is behind Akamai.
We tried accessing the website directly and metaslider works.So now we know that it’s something in the Akamai config, either for the cache or for the Web Application Firewall.
When we find the specific cause, I’ll update this thread.

The last thing you said in that other thread is that you suspected a server configuration issue. Have you had a chance to explore that angle?
Yes, I am in contact with the web server admin.
We did a lot of testing and we are unable to find the source of the problem.
We are still searching…checking the server logs to look for any errors
There are no errors in the server logs.
checking server permissions to ensure that nothing is being blocked on that end, such as with a firewall, or server settings

To look for a server issue, start by testing on a 2nd site on a different server. Can you see the same issue?
We have another server with the same version of PHP and WordPress, same theme and Gutenberg works perfectly. The main difference is that it is in multisite mode, which should not matter.
Are you still having this issue with the Gutenberg plugin deactivated? The plugin is only needed to get experimental features before they are in core, so I suggest leaving it inactive.
Yes, the problem happens with or without the Gutenberg plugin.
I just installed it to see if it could fix the problem, we don’t normally install it.Best regards.

We suspect that it is related to the REST API because we have a similar problem with a plugin that we use: metaslider, that also use the REST API for saving its content and settings.

We have the same issue.
The problem remains even when all plugins are deactivated.
We also tried a differnet browser.The classic editor works without problems when the Classic Editor plugin is activated.
We suspect that the problem may be related to the REST API.

It seems our problem is not with Metaslider.
Gutenberg does not work either.
I think it might be a server config issue.Thank you for your time.

While testing, I think I found something that might help understand why saving does not work.
I was trying to see if I could resolve the problem by erasing all slideshows.
So I exported, erased and reimported the slideshows one by one.I was surprised by the fact that the dimensions were reset when reimporting slideshows.
I tried changing the default values and I got these errors in the browser console:GET https://ici.radio-canada.ca/projets/wp-json/metaslider/v1/settings/slideshow/defaults/save/ 404 POST https://ici.radio-canada.ca/projets/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 400 MetaSlider (settings-save-error): {data: 0, status: 400, statusText: '', headers: {…}, config: {…},?…} MetaSlider: (400)

I tried metaslider on another website with the same php version (7.2.24) and the same theme (Fluida) and metaslider works.
So the issue is not caused by the php version or the theme.
Very strange!
