What problem are you trying to resolve?

I suspect you might have skipped the step that you need to do, and that is creating the database, together with a user and password for it.

Are you installing it locally on your PC, or on a remote server somewhere?

CPanel might have an autoinstall, something like Fantastico – this should do the installation for you nice and easily.

Failing that, I think CPanel has a feature that allows you to create a database, database user and password. Once that is done, edit your wp-config.php file with these details, follow the WordPress install and you should be all good to go!

Apologies, let me correct what I said – I meant FTP access to your server using Filezilla.

You use Filezilla to copy files that are stored locally to a remote server, using FTP.

As Esmi says, your hosting providers should be able to assist you with using your FTP client, in this case Filezilla.

Once you have your FTP access to Filezilla, simply copy the files to the root directory on your web server (sometimes this is httpdocs) and follow the Worpdress install instructions.

@uncopable – I would agree with Tim S that your installation sounds corrupt, specifically that admin-header.php so either reinstall or upgrade WordPress by doing a manual upgrade.

Yes, you need to find a hosting company that will host your website for you, together with a domain name of your choice (i.e. https://www.yourdomainname.com). It is there you install WordPress, and once you have installed WordPress, you can import your exported content from wordpress.com.

Sounds like you are trying to install WordPress twice under the same domain. This won’t work unless you follow this:

Basically, you need two SQL databases for each installation – sounds like you’re second installation has broken the database connection.

But do you really need two WordPress installations for the same website?

I would recommend just sticking to one WordPress installation. If you want a Gallery, why not use a gallery plugin?

If you can’t login, then try clicking on “Forgot password?”. This will then ask for your username or email address.

if you set up the WordPress site, then it will send an email to the email address you provided during setup.

If a hosting provider did it, then they would have had to use an email of some sort to set it up, so speak to them.
