Self hosted fonts can be used with Aino? I see in the FSE styling options PT Sans and Arimo on the fonts list but I don’t know how they are loaded.

    Thank you for any help.

@ckubs I’m so sorry for my late reply. The fonts are loaded locally via theme.json (since Aino v2.6.6) before they were called locally via the functions.php.

It’s not so easy to add custom fonts from the user side to a block theme right now, unfortunately. This will improve but for now you would need to create a child theme with a fonts folder to add custom fonts and then call the fonts via the child theme’s theme.json.

Is this answer helpful? If not, please let me know.

@elmastudio It is helpful. For me “from the user side” is exactly your response to my answer. The new FSE WP is still not yet that friendly and I couldn’t figure out myself that mechanism of loading fonts. ??

You are totally right, custom fonts options is still a big hurdle for FSE block themes. It will be improved though, it’s just a bit of an in between time right now.

I think in the long run, block themes will be very slick and a huge change of ease for WordPress users.
