100’000+ downloads… i think at least thousend users are sad. But that is the risk with open source stuff. With WPGlobus will soon or later happens the same.
A pity WP do not understand the importance of multi-languages functionality and overtake the project.

I think, the most confortable way for me is to translate the IT/DE/RU mo-files and send it to somebody that integrates its in the project.

in my server is not a cache problem.
in the q-translate-x/flags directory i added ru1.png, de1.png, it1.png
see my learning page https://maurizio.omissoni.ch
and even when i change rights with

chmod 600 *.png
chown root:root *.png

sometimes (at updates?) they disappear and then i have to recopy it there.
weird.

say we, i write following URL in the address-field of a browser

i get the page related to page_id 22 in english

when i change this URL manually to
https://www.example.com/?page_id=22&lang=de

i get the same page but in german.

Now, i would like to avoid expliticly give the number 22 but rather a general expression that returns the page_id number of the current page. Tsomething like

https://www.example.com/?page_id=<expression>&lang=en

i am looking for that <expression>

this indipendently of plugins. permalink is configured, that user see allway https://www.example.com/?page_id=XY. ugly and dangerous i know, but for the moment i leave it like this as the page is not in production yet.

when you klick a menu item, say we “Kontakte”, then i klick the british flag, the page jumps to the homepage and do not sty in the page “Kontakte”. if i have the desired <expression>, i could put that in the Navigation Label of the flag-link and would solve my problem. now in the navigation label is only written “&lang=ZZ” depending what flag you klick “ZZ” is de ru gb or it.

finally, i only whant to be able to change language and the page remains there. i you qtranslate plus plugin and there is no forum for that.
