In reply to: [Medialist] Site SpeedThat is interesting, I’ve not come across any performance hiccups as the plugin merely displays whats provided via the wordpress WP Query function.
Are you displaying a lot of files?
Do the files have long file names i.e 100+chars?
Does your issue present itself site-wide or on a specific page where medialist is active?Could it be that another plugin is interfering, would you be able to try disabling plugins and testing to see if the issue persists? If disabling another plugin does solve your issue could you let me know plugins name and I will investigate.
Many thanks,

In reply to: [Medialist] Work with stock media library?Hi, Medialist works in default wordpress setups and doesn’t require additional plugins to function. It is however compatible with Real Media Library and allows customised folders to be listed, medialist itself is a front-end plugin.
Many thanks,

In reply to: [Medialist] Media List > List MediaSounds good, nice work.

In reply to: [Medialist] Show dateYes I believe it is. I will need to re-work the output to include it, but this should be possible.
I will release an update and mark this as resolved in the near future.

In reply to: [Medialist] Adding Custom Taxonomy SupportHi @offworld world, this looks like a nice addition, I’ve added this to the todo list for a future feature update. As this is a part-time hobby and I’m still learning more about WP, from your customisation near constructor I’ll be looking into making the registering of taxonomies more efficient/cleaner.
I’ll mark this as resolved as its a feature request now on my list.
Many thanks,

In reply to: [Medialist] RML – Sort by RML custom sorting orderHi @sveinms Glad you find a solution, that is how you would do it. I will look at adding/making it more clear in the documentation.

In reply to: [Medialist] Support for tags taxonomiesHi @filak18
This could be a nice feature addition considering tags are builtin to wordpress, I will certainly look into it for possible development. Many thanks,

In reply to: [Medialist] Log file entriesI’m not able to diagnose a wordpress setup issue, you could look at trying to run the plugin in a local i.e. using something like xamp and then bring up a backup copy of your staging environment and see if the issue persists, then compare with a fresh wordpress installation vs your staging copy.
Your first log line above indicates allow_url_fopen=0 could be the culprit which in an apache setup is configured within php.ini.
apologies I’m not able to be more helpful with this.
many thanks,

In reply to: [Medialist] support for “mid” file typeHi @jwuethrich
I’ve just updated the plugin to include mid file support, they should now display in the media-list. Let me know if this solves your query.
Many thanks,

In reply to: [Medialist] Log file entriesHi @jviseur
I pulled up a default WordPress setup and in a flat xamp apache installation and no errors are being created for each content type supported by the plugin. This indicates possibly content being pulled from a subdomain with interesting headers or more likely the php.ini for your staging environment is missing something.

In reply to: [Medialist] ThumbnailsHi @jviseur custom thumbnails are outside the scope of what the plugin is trying to achieve, the plugin at current is making use of existing platform features which have been neatly brought together to display lists of media.
I will make a note to see and look into the development of something that makes use of other existing features within posts which may be used as a thumbnail for media in the future.
Many thanks,
Mauvedev
