After updating to latest versions of every plugins, we are experiencing multiple problems instead of only the initial.
Upon successful Apple Pay payment, our users are not redirected to our Thank You Page. They are kept on the checkout page without any feedback, but the order+subscription are created successfully in Woo.
AND, the initial problem persists. People who’s Apple Pay checkout has failed are kept in the dark as to why. They stay on the checkout page.@doublezed2

The issue Only happens for people that try to pay with Apple Pay, exist in the database but are not currently logged in
The problem is that they are NOT seeing this message after their checkout fails. No error message is shown, so they don’t know why it failed.
People who try to pay with a credit card see the message, as it should.
We want people who try to pay with Apple Pay to see the error message after their checkout has failed.

As I said, we cannot enable the guest checkout.
“Enable log-in during checkout” is enabled.
We really only need the error alert to be displayed on the checkout page when trying to pay with “Apple Pay as an existing user that’s not logged in”. The error alert gets displayed in all other scenarios. Only “Apple Pay as an existing user that’s not logged in” causes problem.
We really need a solution. We are losing sales over this, because people do not get the proper feedback as to why the checkout fails.

The problem is that, in all other scenarios (existing customer logged in, new customer not logged in), this error message is being displayed on the UI. (THIS is the intended behaviour!!)

BUT on the current scenario (existing user NOT logged in), the error message is NOT displayed on the UI, only in the console as a console error (see last message), so the user has no idea why his checkout failed.

That’s right, the issue only occurs if a customer is not logged in but their email already exists in the database, the payment doesn’t go through and no error message is displayed. However, the error message appears in the console as a console error.
