In reply to: Widget issue after the updates of WP 5.8Same issue. The page stays blank and nothing ever comes up. Installed Classig Widgets so I can edit until the change, but I’m very interested in the update working.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack IssuesSo, I have followed the instructions to run Jetpack as a Developer as instructed on the Jetpack website and nothing seems to have changed.
I have also found numerous posts that indicate that a fair number of hosts block this xmlrpc code. How do people run this thing now?

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack IssuesWhich features require the cloud? At this point, I basically need the contact form and I can do without everything else. I’ve sort of had it with the entire process.
What I don’t understand is how it worked fine two Fridays ago and does not now.
Was there a major change to the plugin?
Right now, this WordPress site doesn’t do things my free personal blog does natively. I can’t see stats. I can’t import video from a simple YouTube link. For some reason, I can’t access this site from my WordPress.com account.
I’m not a web developer, which is why we are on this platform. I have used it before with success, but the last 10 days have been a nightmare.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack IssuesI am told that xmlrpc.php is and always was blocked on my host server because of its susceptibility to attack. I find this odd as I am running a version of Jetpack on another site on that same server.
Here is the URL I am working with:
soky.org/updateIt’s a redesign of our site that I housed in a folder inside the main site.
Here is the Error:

Although if I type XMLRPC.php with the XML part in caps, I get a simplet 404 message.
I’m having the same problem and I am not at all familiar with this platform. Can somebody point me to where to find the css code or the functions.php file?
Using v3.9.2 and the Twenty Ten theme.
Thanks.
