i want to make the menu start where the dark blue bar at the top ends and go to the bottom edge of the header. right now you can see a little bit of the light blue background color on the top and bottom edges of the menu.

Not exactly. That makes the text area more narrow but i would like for the whole block, like the left and right borders, to be more narrow. Is there a way to change that?
