I found the fix for this, at least on my end. I was getting a 500 message error when I followed the IPN link, so I searched for 500 errors and found another post where the author fixed his 500 errors by updating his PHP version from 5.4 to 5.6.
I was at version 5.4 on my site, so I updated to 5.6 and all is working well now! ??
Some additional info on this problem. If I deactivate the PM Pro plugin, the URL works. As soon as I activate the plugin, the URL stops working again and I get a 500 error saying that link is not working, so I suspect that something has changed in the plugin during a recent update maybe?
I noticed that if I click on the API link, I get a http 500 error and a message that says that this page isnt working? Should I be seeing something different?
I got the same warning from PayPal today. Never had an issue in the past? Is there a fix for this or some way to correct?
Actually, the users membership level is being set to active immediately upon payment, but then a few minutes later paypal is canceling the process. I never get an email receipt or notification from paypal, just a notice from the software that I have a new member, and the members level is active, so I don’t think it’s the same issue as was happening with PayPal standard.
I am actually using PayPal express, but I will look at the information you provided and see if that can help me.
Disregard, I finally found another plugin that was causing the issue.
I deactivated the plugin and no change, so maybe something else is going on here. The issue didn’t occur until I updated the plugin though?
Ok, I got it to go through now.
I’m trying to send one, but the system info says I have to attach a file, which I have attached the system info txt file, yet it continues to not go through saying I must attach a file???
Rushter, can you give some additional instructions on how to do this? Where do I place the code exactly?
I got ahead of myself. Even when I choose the “require membership” buttons, I can still click on category and see all of my articles in the category completely. By clicking the “require membership” button, it did lock the search function so that I only saw the excerpt. For some reason, the category is no longer locked, so I am having to hide everything from non members in order to secure my articles?
I have narrowed this down further. Even though I have placed the article in a category that requires membership, it will still show the full article to non payers unless I also check the “require membership” buttons as well. Somewhere there is a bug in the category section, as checking that alone does not hide the articles completely.
I turned off all of my plugins, and the issues still occurs. This did not happen until after the most recent update on 2-22-16.
I was able to use the file searches and archives section to set the search for members only, and that has temporarily fixed the issue, but I liked the fact that non members could see the excerpts previously with an option to pay, and that is no longer working as described previously.
You can also use the search function on the website for a paid article and it will show the full article without a membership. Something changed that is completely wrong in the latest update? Is there some place to download the previous versions so I can go back to the older version until this is corrected?
