I saw that in source code myself, but if I would do 1st step suggested, then when in post edit page you would see that editor turns blue. I need to do more investigation on this i guess.

Will be holding this update till tomorrow. Have to cross check with 3.7.x how admin bar looks like as well as to patch few things that I changed to keep new admin-bar in place. One more thing that you actually left out was that currently plugin uses admin_enqueue_scripts and it’s not being displayed accordingly when facing front-end.

Faced exactly the same problem so I decided to make a plugin that would revert to the old theme. Check “wp-admin classic” in plugin directory, also there is link in the thread somewhere.

There is still 3 issues – dashboard, widget page css and, theme css. While widget/theme problems are really minor and is not affecting my clients at all, dashboard needs little bit of extra work. So if you have solution to contribute I would be glad to include it in that plugin.

I was not aware of loading styles using $GLOBALS, thanks. Btw do you think using $GLOBALS to load other styles would be good idea? I went through script-load.php if im not mistaken in wp-includes and thats how they load it, so I’m wondering if $GLOBALS could be better option (faster option) to load those other styles as well?

Just spared a few minutes for a old theme plugin. It’s not perfect and there are quite a few annoying things. But I hope to sort these over the time with everyones help. Don;t have much more time right now as I have to finish up some other projects but hope to get sorted out the last bits till the end of the next week.
