I just had the same problem when I added an SSL certifiate, resolved it by updating the ‘WordPress Address (URL)’ and ‘Site Address (URL)’ urls to include ‘https://’

I set up the server myself on AWS so not really sure what would need to be amended, i appreciate you don’t really need to answer this but if you could point me in the direction of what to fix it would be help me a lot.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Logged In User CacheIve ended using Quick Cache Pro (Everything I needed with very simple and minimal set up) after trialling a few different plugins, on top of the user cache issue i was having i found the WT3C slowed down the admin too much aswell. I was also deterred by their support as the pricing structure was too vague.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Logged In User CacheI’ve actually moved on and have started using another caching plugin which handles user caching amongst other things in a simpler way than W3TC.
I’m sure someone else will find this info useful though.
Cheers for the response.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Logged In User CacheIve found if User1 visits a page then logs in from another page, and visits the original page (cached content) they are still not logged in.
But, if I refresh the page i can see the user is logged in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

In reply to: [Plugin: wp-united]Apologies for an incomplete topic title, if anybody knows how to update to advise.
Here was the issue:
In order to add/install any plugins or media, the folder called wp-content needs to be 777 permission and need to be recursively done. The other thing is, you need to add extra code of lines in your wp-config.php. The last line implies that all the files that was going to be uploaded/installed will be placed in tmp folder of your web root directory then after the installations/uploading has been done, the file will be moved to the specific folder in wp-content folder.
Got my host to look into it and it was a problem at their end, apparently “some common upload issues”, but thats all they’d tell me.
thanks for all your help webjunk.
will do, cheers.
What is the size of the file uploading? (Try a small one if you have not)
yep, tried an 8k file and got the error.
Are you able to FTP a file into the gallery directory?
yep, i then went to Manage Gallery / Gallery Name and scanned for images and they appeared
It kind of sounds like a permissions error (as you mentioned in your first post) so what are the permissions for the gallery?
they’re currently 777, i changed trying to work out whats going on, but ive tried 755 too.
Who is Owner/Group?
Owner: 80
Group: 80These are different from any directory i create, i get an error if i try to change.
Here’s the error:
The operation couldn’t be completed. Could not change the owner of gallery
Error 5: unrecognized error number
Here is the function I beleive where the Error is generated (from functions.php)
