I wanted to follow-up that I was able to fix this issue by changing the tableau script library that is enqueued on line 21 of the wptab-tableau-public-viz-block.php plugin file to the minified version https://public.tableau.com/javascripts/api/tableau-2.min.js. The plugin author has a comment in the plugin code that “the min script has a document write which is blocked by browsers”, but I am not seeing this issue when using the minified script. Maybe that was a problem for older versions of the js library.
