In reply to: Looking for a simple explaination of RSSHere’s my WordPress blog:
at the bottom of the page are the two ‘feed’ links.
try them out.No matter what I do.
No matter where I look on this site, and where I search in this site.
wordpress NEVER EVER EVER EVER generates an RSS or atom feed.
Now before you make any assumptions about my programming ability:Maybe you can tell me when RSS aggregators started reading .PHP files?
When you mouse over any other ‘RSS’ button in any other blog on the planet…
the status at the bottom of your browser shows the extension: ‘.xml’
right?
yes.do a search at this site for ‘RSS problem’
and look at the incredible stack of posts. And also please look at what the replies tell you to do…
“all versions of wordpress are different…so your code might be here, or there, or somewhere else…
so find these lines of php code and change them to ….”
are you for real?Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: When I click on RSS and Comment RSS this happens….well that didn’t fix it for me.
That code isn’t in the sidebar.php file.
I found it in the footer.php file, changed it, and I still get ‘FEED IS NOT A REGISTERED PROTOCOL’
in fact… the link on this page you’re reading right now that says: ‘RSS FEED FOR THIS Thread’
gives the same message.I just realized something…
people, myself included, spend a great deal of time getting things to work that have absolutely zero importance.(heh)
I’m sitting at this computer right now and so are you…
Will you appreciate this moment when you’re looking back on your life?Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: complicationI’m sorry for that outburst actually. (in a pretty big way).
The more acquainted I’m becoming with your blogging system, and with using this new hosting server, And with seeing my blog filling up, the more it’s becoming lovable ??I’m going to search the boards for entries on a couple of things I’d like to do with my blog:
they include:
-putting flash into the header instead of a jpg.
-and getting the RSS feed to work.more power to you!
