You’re very welcome and sorry for the delay — I was discussing this issue with our engineers. After taking a look on our end, we think this might be due to something either serializing, or serialized, the data from Grow Social.

Just to give things a shot, would you be able to try refreshing the share counts specifically for this post? You should be able to do this by editing the post and at the bottom of the post editor you should see a Grow: Share Statistics advanced panel. You’ll just want to give the Refresh Shares button a click.

Let us know if that does the trick!

Thanks so much for reaching out about this! As far as the Facebook share counts go, would you be able to see if you have Facebook authorized? You should be able to do this by going to Grow -> Settings.

Near the ‘Facebook Share Counts Provider’ do you have ‘Grow by Mediavine’ set here? If so, do you see any messages asking to either Authorize or Reauthorize?

It sounds like you’re running into a known issue in Create version 1.8.0 where the “Instructions” section is missing on recipe/diy card print pages. Our engineers are currently working on a hotfix (1.8.1) for this issue, which should be out really soon!

The current workaround for this issue is to rollback your version of Create to version 1.7.5 until the hotfix is released, which sounds like you’ve already taken care of.

I’ll go ahead and update this thread when the fix for this issue is released! Let us know if we can help with anything else in the meanwhile.

Thanks so much for reaching out about this! Currently we don’t offer a way to add a captcha or filter reviews to avoid spam but it’s something that’s been previously suggested in the past as a feature request for a future version of Create.

I don’t have an ETA on if/when something like this would happen but definitely keep an eye out in future updates!

Thanks so much for reaching out about this! As far as Twitter share counts go, Twitter disabled their API that we used previously to pull Twitter share counts so now we rely on a third party service to provide that data via Twitcount.

You’ll want to be sure that you’ve enabled Twitcount by going to Grow -> Settings and then enabling Twitcount. You can read more about this process here.

If you already took the above steps, then you’ll need to reach out to Twitcount’s support to see what the issue might be with retrieving the shares.

Thanks for giving that a try. Our engineers took a deeper look into it and it looks like this is occurring because of some escaped output coming from WordPress’ linting requirements. The escaping causes the child selectors here to be converted from ‘>’ over to ‘>’ which breaks the CSS selector.

It looks like we are planning to get this fixed in a future release but we don’t have an ETA on this or further information to share quite yet.

As for changing the main folder, that’s not something we’re able to do as I mentioned above as this was the original name of the plugin. It could be possible in the future to change that but as of now with WordPress it’s something we cannot change. There’s some information about that you can find here if you’re interested!

It’s possible that the error is in social-pug/inc/class-custom-color.php however our engineers are still investigating so I cannot say for certain what might be wrong as of yet. This particular style is something that’s dynamically added to the internal styles based upon the style of buttons chosen.

As far as the name of the main plugin folder, you should see it as social-pug. This is something that cannot be changed and was the original name of the plugin before Mediavine took over development.
