In reply to: Mode rewrite exclude directoryOK here is my solution that I found.
I noticed that WP captures address when forum dir has permisions set to 777, the same with install.php. I set permissions to 755 and I could successfully install SMF forum. On this site I’m using WP 2.2.3

In reply to: Mode rewrite exclude directoryI have the same problem… Many blogers recommend to install WP into root dir. Now I want to install SM forum on my site and I cannot access forum/ folder that was created for this purpose. Every time I get 404 error page.
Is the any method to fix it?
I read that .htaccess rules will not help, because addresses are passed to internal WP rewrite engine.
For some people worked this method: to put .htaccess file inside those folders with command RewriteEngine Off, but for me it doesn’t work…

In reply to: Site Hacked tonight – Info and questionsIt looks that today my website was also hacked (WP 2.3.1). The difference is that I was not using wp-cache plugin. Plugins that I used: bad-behavior, wp-email, wp-print, sem-google-analytics and wp-db-backup. Everything started when I was unable to login to my admin account, I got such error message:
Error 403

Fraze “fix this problem yourself” was link going to:

My host (IpowerWeb) said that they don’t have any relations with that site and that it is a hack.
I checked that link with Dr.Web Plugin for FireFox. It found it clean, but:
File size: 2132 bytes, with inside scripts and frames: 17967 bytes

Perhaps the goal of this hack was to display as many ads?? But most interesting is how they hacked newest WP?

I can imagine how busy you are, but could you check this one too? Please ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Image clipping in IE while using float with EM and other tagsCouple remarks. My theme is based on the standard kubric. And if you will refresh that page 4 or 5 times advertisement below the title will disappear (that’s in case you would think that is the cause of that conflict).

OK here we go ??

I made word “Ingredients:” italic. Interesting that when I made italic words “peeled and diced” on there next line everything was OK… I thought maybe it’s because “Ingredients:” was also bold, but after removing strong tag image was still clipped.
There were many errors with xhtml validator, but almost all of them related with special characters inside links.
It would be interesting if someone with fully validating site could reproduce this situation. You need only one floating image and try to make all or part of the text next to this image italic with standard EM tag.
