The plugin work perfectly with themes who use BuddyPress theme compatibility first introduced in version 1.7.

“Custom Community” is based on default Buddypress theme.
please read the faq.

There is any submit button to apply the change . The change is applied after you select the new privacy.

You can make test, add new activity, then change the privacy ( by selecting the new privacy level from the selectbox), then refresh the page (F5). You will see the new privacy level applied.

I have worked on new update for the plugin and i need your help for testing in multisite.

I have make a test on my local dev and it’s work.
You install the plugin on the multinetwrok then you “Network Activate” it.
Then, you will find the buddypress activitiy settting page in
“Settings” => “BP Activity Privacy” on each site.

Please donwload the test version from here for testing.

No, The plugin did not override Buddypress default settings for private or hiddens groups.

Please update your current version of Buddypress.
You are using old version (mybe 1.6 or < ).

Or you can wait for next release of plugin, i will fix that.

You will find the translation file on

plugins\buddypress-activity-privacy\languages\

You can use POEDIT (https://www.poedit.net/ ) to edit
buddypress-activity-privacy-en_US.po

after saving the file, POEDIT will create a new file
buddypress-activity-privacy-en_US.mo

replace the file on
plugins\buddypress-activity-privacy\languages\

with the new .mo one.

nb: You have to did the same task after updating the plugin.

the translation file for German is languages\buddypress-activity-privacy-de_DE.po

the MO ( you can edit it and update it using POEDIT) file is buddypress-activity-privacy-de_DE.po.

All updates or correction for translation are welcome.
