You may have already figured this out, but just in case, here is what I was able to figure out: The pull quote is just a little hidden. When you are editing your post, at the top right is “screen options” box, expand that and then select Excerpt. The excerpt will be at the bottom of the edit page for reasons unknown. Enter text here, and you’ll get the same affect as the sample page.
And then for the image, you need an image that is big. If the length is the same as your feature image (1200), it will expand outside of the text column. Then you need to select “full size” in the image edit options.
I haven’t been able to figure out how to get right of the left sidebar alltogether though.
