Thanks MichaelH – I had considered plagiarising these ??

However, one of the caveats used by Automattic is

“Automattic has not reviewed, and cannot review, all of the material, including computer software, posted to the Website, and cannot therefore be responsible for that material’s content, use or effects”.

In my case, being a small site that I am contributing to, this is not a claim that I could uphold.

I would be interested to know what issues other forum members had got into by running a blog? Have any turned into litigation?

I am a newb to web/php, and had just the same problem. I knew that my hosting service supported PHP but it was not running the scripts.

Eventually found the problem. The host requires you to put the PHP scripts in a particular folder. I had tried the root of the site and a new WordPress folder but sorted my problem when I read ALL the info from the host. They required it to be created in the ‘public-html’ folder.

Thanks for the clues ioin the posting that led me ot this.
