That’s what was so confusing to me, I don’t see how I’d be using an email address that’s already used if I’m the only one who has access to my email address.

I wasn’t the one who requested the password, someone with access to the site did it for me. They also deleted the user and created a new account and the issue still persisted

I am trying to log into the WordPress page of the website as an admin in order to make edits. It is a school institution so once I type in the website’s name/admin a login portal opens up asking me for my email address and password. Once I fill in that information I receive that message

I apologize if my terms are unclear – English is not my first language.

What I meant is that I am using the same email address for two different websites. I hear what you say about how an email address can only be used by one user but to my knowledge no other user has been created under my email address. Or else, logically, I would be able to access the WordPress website using my email address.
