Thanks for your response but I finished the site and made the client happy which was all that mattered. I realized I was using your theme a little differently and was not using your theme’s “home” page design that uses a large photo on the home page and that was why I was having an issue. Once I recognized that, I simply used CSS to remove the header area entirely on all the pages and branded the site differently.

P.S. Great theme — I’m looking forward to using it again.

I’m exploring the many options you offer in this theme. But I don’t see the css under Virtue’s style sheet so I am struggling. I’ve made a child theme and am using your customize areas. But I am stymied on these things:

What size in photoshop should I make my combined logo and photo so when I upload it it fits right to the edge of the topbar and goes completely across the entire boxed width of my site?

No matter what size I make it, there seems to be padding on the edges. How do I get rid of that space on both sides and the space between the logo and the topbar. I’d like that logo area to fit seamlessly.

I do not understand how to make the size of the font in the navigation larger, nor how to make the dropdown have a darker hover when selecting from a drop down menu.

Thank you for your information. I appreciate it. I’m in a time crunch so unfortunately I had to move to a different theme to make a deadline. I’m going to revisit using Minamaze – when I have the time to explore its features more since I really love it’s look.

Two questions:

I too want to remove the “read more” and change that copy. But I am using a child theme so if I edit the file 02.homepage.php in the parent file, will it be overwritten if / when the theme is updated? If I am to do it in the child theme, am I creating a new 02.homepage.php with my copy changes and placing it in the child theme folder?

Regarding navigation menus: I would like to use ONLY the preheader and footer menu. But when I make that selection BOTH the preheader menu and the primary menu appear. When I select primary menu and footer those menus work properly but I prefer the preheader menu. I have deleted everything and started again, thinking that I must have made an error somewhere but I can’t seem find where I am going wrong. I am working in MAMP so I don’t believe I can send a link. Apologies for being a newbie.

Yes, I’ve used a child theme and had altered some css to work better with the color scheme I had in mind. Your theme is lovely but the powered by wordpress and ad for your company at the bottom makes the finished website look unprofessional and therefore I cannot use it. I already experimented with another free theme this weekend and have redesigned the site with another. I’m sorry I won’t be using your theme this time. Best wishes.
