In reply to: Image upload error – orientationHi,
I can’t see any errors in the upload presets. Also it is worth noting all images uploaded fine 2 days ago and then yesterday things went weird. I had not changed the presets in that time.
The inbuilt edit tool isn’t working for me – that is the problem.Mel

In reply to: [Kale] Custom CSS not reflecting in websiteAh, thankyou, it is working now.
While I have you, what is the name of the border round the default sidebar-bordered element?
Sorry, I haven’t quite learnt to read the inspect function on my browser.

In reply to: [Kale] Change border colours in cssWould you potentially be able to help me with code for the blog post heading also? It’s still coming up in Black when I would like it right. IT’s the text saying “THE COUNTDOWN IS ON…” before the excerpt.

In reply to: [Kale] Picture too wide for phone screen.Hi @lyrathemes
I changed the theme to the parent theme and it doesn’t seem to be acting the same. The photo takes up the expected amount of space using the parent theme.
thanks!

In reply to: [Kale] Picture too wide for phone screen.Perfect, thanks @jarektheme
The other issue I’m having with photos is the banner/slider image isn’t resizing for smaller screens. It basically just disappears off into the abyss past the edge of the screen if I look at the page on my phone or in either the tablet or mobile formats in the customiser. When I look at the full page width version in the customiser it doesn’t quite line up with the right edge of the “third” column below or the dividing line above.

In reply to: [Kale] Picture too wide for phone screen.Yes, I uploaded it using the customiser>background image area of the admin panel. I just want the photo to fill the screen. When I bring it up on my phone it only shows centre top of the photo, rather than scaling the image down to the size of the phone screen.
I’ll add that code into the functions.php file.

In reply to: [Kale] Picture too wide for phone screen. Thanks @lyrathemes,
my url is https//allthehighplaces.com.
I had actually hidden photo/banner area but have re-published it so you can see.
The other thing I’d like to know more about is whether there’s some custom css I could use to change the colour of the text (I’d prefer a black toned background overlay over the photo with light text rather than light background overlay and dark text).

In reply to: [Kale] Picture too wide for phone screen.Hi,
I’m also having this problem but with the image I’m using as a background for my theme. Can I use custom css to fix this issue?Mel
