I may have answered my own question. Could this problem be due to the fact that I wasn’t using an issue number in the subject line?

I already did.

Yes, that’s where I was tried to set the color originally, but that didn’t work.

I found the problem elsewhere and now everything looks great. I had to go into the settings for the “edit automatic latest content” and make the color changes there. The color settings are at the very bottom.
