Wanted to notify you of a conflict that is occurring when using Cookie Notice/Complianz as well as Contact Form 7 with reCaptcha v3 integration.

This happens when the new more advanced Google Consent v2 compliance setup is implemented with the Cookie Notice plug-in.

reCaptcha v3 is being triggered so it stops Contact Form 7 forms from being submitted (error message signifying reCaptcha suspected spam failure).

I am experiencing this problem now on large number of client websites where these two plug-ins are being used in this way.

I have also notified the other plug-in owner of this conflict. not sure which side the issue is happening on.

Additional info: at this time, this appears to conflict specifically with instances where a contact form 7 form is placed in a footer widget.

Update: Complianz is also disrupting some instances of Google fonts being used on some sites. Remove the advanced Complianz settings and -poof- everything works again.

This is extremely frustrating. I am removing the advanced Complianz settings from all of my client sites immediately and rolling back to the simplified Cookie Notice banner.

    Hi,

reCaptcha is one of the Google’s services that (as most of their free tools) is used for tracking. Because of that it is blocked by Cookie Compliance Autoblocking feature out of the box and it’s only triggered when user set’s their consent at least at 2nd (Balanced) level.

If your organization is under regulations that do not require 3rd party services blocking and you don’t have EU visitors you can disable that.
