thx for the input rob. Thats exactly what i did / discovered. i played around with some of the settings to achieve my desired result.
what kinda threw me off was that my settings did not change after the update, but those settings weren’t functioning as the same they were prior to the update.

were you able to get it working as expected gaga?
i typically dont have or use a ‘category page’. I think i have one or two cats that has an intro / preview page and i actually just call it out in a different menu button.

if i remember correctly, you can always right-click on the cat or sub-cat and click ‘open link in new window / tab’
of course this isn’t exactly the best user-friendly setup, but just a thought.

finally got it to work. I recommend disabling all plugins. i was using “google friend connect plugin” and this was not allowing disqus to be displayed due to one of the features.

Same issue here. Unfortunately Adrian’s fix didn’t work for my site. Even using the preview option when changing disqus theme appearance doesn’t show up either. :\

back up and running…guess it was an issue with GFC. notification would be nice…and i know too much to ask.

Same here…and i haven’t seen it working on wordpress site yet since the update. ??

specific details on the error for troubleshooting;

The ‘Fatal error’ message only seems to appear when attempting to edit a post or daft that was created before the plugin was installed.
When this error is displayed, the entire middle column of the ‘edit post’ page is missing. By default these sections are effected and missing;
– post title
– post entry box/panel
– excerpt panel
– send trackbacks
– custom fields
– discussion
– author

When clicking on “save draft” (which is used refresh the tag suggestions, when working correctly), the page refreshes…and the middle column is visible again…and no fatal errors showing up.

Sweet! oh…except that the content of the post is gone. empty/deleted post content ??

Pull up the revision history and restore…fatal error message is back ??
